Game Preview
The Crimson Tide (16-7, 6-4 SEC) have seen themselves lose Charles Bediako earlier this week, after a court ruling revoked his eligibility due to his NBA experience. As a result, their candidacy for an At-Large bid for the NCAA Tournament may be at risk.
After losing to the Florida Gators, Alabama bounced back with back-to-back wins over the Texas A&M Aggies and the Auburn Tigers. Labaron Philon Jr. will look to have big impact on the matchup, having earned the SEC Co-Player of the Week. He averaged 21 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.5 steals in Alabama’s two wins, claiming his fourth weekly honor from the conference.
The Rebels have massively struggled in league play, losing seven of their first 10 SEC matchups. They perform well at home with a 7-3 record to show for it, but they have a five-game skid to address as soon as possible.
AJ Storr leads the Ole Miss squad with averages of 13.7 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game. Malik Dia may play a key role with his physicality on the glass with 12.9 points and 6.1 rebounds, while Patton Pinkins displays elite 3-point shooting on a 44.9% clip.
Alabama vs Ole Miss Head-to-Head
The two programs have had 186 meetings in their history, and the result is 127-59 for the Crimson Tide. The last matchup was in January 2025 when Ole Miss secured a 74-64 win on the road.
Alabama vs Ole Miss Predictions
Ole Miss doesn’t have the same form it had when the program made the Sweet 16 last season. Despite this, they have motivation to end a tough losing streak and defend homecourt in front of their fans. However, if they can’t keep Philon in check, Alabama won’t hesitate to cruise to victory Our betting pick here is the Crimson Tide to defend a 6.5-point spread.
