Game Preview
The No. 2 Wildcats (25-2, 12-2 Big 12) are firmly back on track, taking down one of the potential national contenders in the Houston Cougars this past weekend. They have taken control of the top spot of the Big 12 standing, making a strong case for the regular-season title. Brayden Burries is on the Naismith Trophy Late-Season Watch List as one of the best players in the country this season. He leads Arizona in scoring (16.4) in Big 12 play and is shooting 39% from the 3-point line in league games. Anthony Dell’Orso also earned acclaim for his performances. He was named to the Big 12 Weekly Starting Five after scoring a career high 22 points against then-No. 23 BYU and at then-No. 2 Houston last week.
The Bears (14-13, 4-10 Big 12) are in poor form throughout ACC Play, losing 10 of their last 14 conference matchups. They are coming off a solid win over Arizona State, who recently stunned a ranked-Texas Tech squad. Cameron Carr has been shining star in the Bears’ attack. He leads the squad and is sixth in the Big 12 with 18.7 points per game. On another note, Tounde Yessoufou looks to be impactful on the defensive side of the ball. He ranks second in the Big 12 in steals (56) and third in the Big 12 in steals per game (2.07).
Arizona vs Baylor Head-to-Head
The two programs have had 12 meetings in their history, and the result is 7-5 for the Wildcats. The last matchup was in February 2025 when Arizona won 74-67 on the road.
Arizona vs Baylor Predictions
Arizona may be the visiting squad, but it hasn’t stopped them from beating hosting teams. Houston, who boasted the No. 2 spot last week, was the Wildcats’ latest victim. Baylor knows that this matchup will be difficult to win, especially after the overall struggles in conference play. If the Bears can’t start the game strong, then Arizona will end its time with Texas on a solid winning note. Our betting pick here is the Wildcats to defend a 7-point spread.
