Game Preview
The Flyers (23-10, 12-6 A-10) boast excellent form in the second half of the season, making a strong run in the conference tournament. They dispatched St. Bonaventure in the quarters and stunned the high-rising Saint Louis squad in the semis to get to the final round. Jordan Derkack put together his best performance in a Dayton uniform to lead the Flyers, scoring 28 points and grabbing six rebounds in the semifinals. Meanwhile, Javon Bennett joined Derkack with a great scoring night, providing 17 points of his own while making a season-high four steals in the victory.
The Rams (26-7, 15-3 A-10) are heating up at the right time as they are rolling with five consecutive wins. They took down Duquense and Saint Joseph’s to make their way to the championship game.
