Game Preview

Tom Izzo and the No. 10 Spartans (20-4, 10-3 B10) returned to the win column after taking down Illinois in their last matchup. They remain high in the standings as one of the best squads in the conference.

Jeremy Fears Jr. led the team with 26 points to pull off the ranked victory over the Fighting Illini. He is producing 15.1 points, 9.1 assists and 2.7 rebounds per game this season. Meanwhile Coen Carr has showcased solid form with averages of 11.4 points and 5.9 rebounds over the past 10 games.

The Badgers (17-7, 9-4 Big Ten) continue to be persistent with their upset wins in conference play. After falling to the Indiana Hoosiers in an overtime nailbiter, they bounced back with a ranked win over Illinois on Feb. 10. Wisconsin erased a 12-point second-half deficit, which marked the fifth time in the last nine games where the squad fought back from a double-digit deficit to win the game.

Nick Boyd is having the best season of his collegiate career, leading the Badgers with averages of 20.2 points, 3.7 assists and 3.4 rebounds per game. John Blackwell stands tall as the top 3-point shooter with 60 triples made and counting, while Nolan Winter provides a physical presence with 13.9 points and 8.9 rebounds.

Michigan State vs Wisconsin Head-to-Head

The two programs have had 157 meetings in their history, and the result is 87-70 for the Spartans. The last matchup was in March 2025 when Wisconsin secured a 77-74 win at home.

Michigan State vs Wisconsin Predictions

The Spartans will have immense difficulty on the road, facing a Badgers squad that is no stranger to pulling off ranked wins on the road. Michigan State has the talent on both sides of the ball to put Wisconsin on its heels, but it will take a lot for the visitors to take down the Badgers on their homecourt. Our betting pick here is for the Badgers to cover a 2-point spread.
