- Let’s take a look at some of the top teams projected to take home the 2024 Championship.
The 2022-23 NCAA Basketball season wrapped up with UConn as the champions. With the 2023-24 season rapidly approaching, many teams have seen major roster overhauls. Blue bloods still lead the way.
Jump to:
Duke ()
Duke currently sits as the overall favorites. They benefited from the return of leading-scorer Kyle Flipowski, who was NBA Draft eligible. The Blue Devils heated up down the stretch with a very young squad, which is now more experienced.
Purdue ()
Purdue’s odds skyrocketed when Zach Edey announced his return. The 7’4, 295 lb center has the size and experience to dominate other college players. That being said, he’s been one-and-done in the tourney, and needs a better supporting cast.
Kansas ()
Kansas couldn’t repeat their title from 2022 in 2023, but once again enters the upcoming season as one of the top teams. The Jayhawks benefit from the return of a trio of starters, as well as two top transfers that averaged over 17.5 ppg last year.
Florida Atlantic ()
The Owls move from the C-USA to the AAC this season, which will increase their schedule’s difficulty by quite a bit. Even so, they retained all five starters from last season’s Final Four team. Florida Atlantic’s odds are very favorable here.
