Game Preview

The Wolverines (28-6) are among the last eight teams standing after taking down Holy Cross, NC State and Louisville in the first three rounds. Michigan had three players score in double figures, led by 19 points and five rebounds from Olivia Olson. Syla Swords turned in 16 points and four rebounds, with Te’Yala Delfosse going for 10 points and eight rebounds off the bench. Brooke Quarles Daniels had seven points and nine rebounds, with Mila Holloway chipping in five points, four rebounds and seven assists. Michigan makes its second Elite Eight in program history and ties the program record for wins in a season with 28.

The Longhorns (34-3) are on a remarkable roll in March Madness, eliminating the likes of Missouri State, Oregon and Kentucky. Three Longhorns scored in double figures, led by Jordan Lee’s game-high 18 points, along with two rebounds and three assists. Madison Booker contributed 17 points, eight rebounds and five assists, while Rori Harmon added 11 points, seven rebounds and seven assists. Texas advanced to the Elite Eight for the 13th time in school history.

Michigan vs Texas Head-to-Head

The two programs are facing each other for the second time in their respective histories as the Longhorns lead 1-0. Texas won the initial encounter by a 69-52 score in November 2018.

Michigan vs Texas Predictions

The winner of this matchup will take on UCLA in the Final Four on April 3. Olivia Olsen having a great performance will be crucial to Michigan standing a chance against Texas. However, the Longhorns may have the better edge with Madison Booker having stronger momentum with her superstar displays on the court. If Rori Harmon and Jordan Lee come through with solid games once again, Texas will make its appearance in the Final Four. Our betting pick here is for the Longhorns to defend a 10-point spread.
