Game Preview
The Horned Frogs (32-5) are performing at a solid level in March Madness, taking down UC San Diego, Washington and Virginia throughout their tournament path. Marta Suarez and Olivia Miles combined for 61 points to lead TCU to the Elite Eight. Both players finished with double-doubles for the second time in three games across the Horned Frogs’ run to the quarterfinals. Suarez paired a career-high 33 points with 10 rebounds while knocking down 4-7 attempts from distance. Miles nearly notched her second triple-double of March Madness, finishing with 28 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists.
The Gamecocks (34-3) are on a roll in the NCAA Tournament, eliminating Southern, USC and Oklahoma to reach the last eight. Ta’Niya Latson had a monster outing, finishing with 28 points to lead the offense on 4-of-4 shooting from beyond the arc, 7-of-11 from the floor, and a perfect 10-of-10 at the free throw line in her first Sweet 16 appearance.
