Game Preview
The Bobcats (13-12, 7-5 American) have rebounded from a shaky start to the season, performing at a decent level in league play. They began the month of February with a win over Western Michigan but later followed it with a loss to the Old Dominion Monarchs. The former duel saw them win by 20 points at home before falling by six points on the road.
Ohio has delivered a solid offense, but the defense leaves a lot to be desired, only having an average winning margin of 0.4 points per game. Jackson Paveletzke stands out from the unit with averages of 16.6 points, 5.3 assists, 2.9 rebounds, and one steal per game. On another note, Aidan Hadaway could have a solid role inside the paint with 14.2 points and 7.5 rebounds per contest.
The No. 23 Redhawks (24-0, 11-0 MAC) have been very difficult for opponents to beat, standing out as one of the best teams in the country. They started February with road wins over the Buffalo Bulls and the Marshall Thunder Herd, beating both teams by a combined margin of eight points.
The Redhawks have been deadly as one of the elite offenses in the country, scoring 92.7 points per game. They have six players scoring in double figures as Brant Byers leads the way with 14.7 points and four rebounds. Meanwhile, Peter Sudor and Luke Skaljac could have big playmaking performances, dishing out 4.4 assists and 4.6 assists per contest.
