Game Preview
The No. 18 Billikens (23-1, 11-0 A-10) continue to be a roll as one of the hottest teams in the country. They remain perfect in league play after winning their first 11 A-10 matchups, recently taking down Davidson and La Salle. They took both contests to begin the month of February, winning by a combined margin of 33 points.
Saint Louis remains potent as one of the top offenses in the nation, scoring 91 points per game. Robbie Avila is at the heart of their success with averages of 12.8 points, 4.4 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game throughout 24 appearances. Trey Green has been a perimeter sharpshooter with a 47% accuracy to show for it, while Dion Brown and Amari McCottry look to make inside impacts with 5.8 rebounds and 5.5 rebounds per game respectively.
Life hasn’t been pleasant for the Ramblers (6-19, 2-10 A-10), losing 10 of their 12 conference matchups so far. They were going through a nine-game losing streak before finally ending it with their win over La Salle on Feb. 3. However, they returned to the loss column after losing to Davidson.
Loyola Chicago has suffered inconsistencies as one of the worst offenses in the nation, only scoring 67.6 points per contest. Justin Moore stands out as the leading scorer and playmaker with 11.4 points and 3.8 assists per game. On another note, Miles Rubin shines as the top rebounder with 7.6 rebounds per contest.
Saint Louis vs Loyola Chicago Head-to-Head
The two programs have had eight meetings in their history, and the result is 4-4 for both squads. The last matchup was in March 2025 when Loyola-Chicago secured an 72-64 win in the A-10 Tournament.
Saint Louis vs Loyola Chicago Predictions
Loyola Chicago has its work cut out for them throughout the home matchup. They will have to figure out many ways to shut off Saint Louis’s attack, especially on the perimeter. Otherwise, the Ramblers might be staring at a blowout loss if they can’t get the offense going early. Our betting pick here is for the Billikens to defend an 18.5-point spread.
