Game Preview

The Bruins (17-8, 9-5 Big Ten) have gained momentum throughout the latter half of the 2025-26 season. They have won 10 of their last 15 games, making their way up the standings as a solid Big Ten squad. However, they are coming off an embarrassing blowout loss to the Michigan Wolverines, revealing they still have work to do to be seen as a postseason contender.

Donovan Dent looks to assert himself in the road matchup. Dent ranks third in the Big Ten in assists per game (7.0 apg) while averaging 13.5 points per game. Meanwhile, Tyler Bilodeau will look to have a big role in the game, producing 17.7 points and 5.9 rebounds per game while shooting 49.6 percent overall in the Bruins’ last 10 games.

Tom Izzo and the No. 15 Spartans (20-5, 10-4 Big Ten) suffered a stunning road loss to Wisconsin in their last matchup. It was an uncharacteristic night for Izzo’s squad, emphasizing the need for them to recover in their home contest.

MSU ranks No. 23 nationally in scoring defense (66.7 ppg), No. 3 nationally in rebound margin (+12.6), No. 13 in rebounds per game (41.2 rpg) and No. 10 nationally in fast break points per game (17.3 ppg). Beating the Bruins will require a strong performance from Jeremy Fears Jr. He is producing 15.1 points and 9.2 assists per game this season, leading the entire country with his elite playmaking talent.

UCLA vs. Michigan State Head-to-Head

The two programs have had 12 meetings in their history, and the result is 8-4 for the Bruins. The last matchup was in February 2025 when UCLA won 63-61 at home.

UCLA vs. Michigan State Predictions

It won’t be easy for Michigan State to coast to victory over UCLA. The Bruins stand out as one of the best 3-point shooting teams in the country, as aspect that the Spartans must be ready for. That being said, the Spartans must bounce back and have a statement win so they get back on the victory column. Our betting pick here is the Spartans to defend an 8-point spread.
