Game Preview

The 2025-26 campaign will be one to forget for the Roadrunners (5-21, 1-13 American). They are no longer eligible from the conference tournament, being at the bottom of the entire standings. They ended a long losing streak after stunning Charlotte on the road before recently losing to FAU at home, showing they will still try to play with their motivation and dignity. Jamir Simpson leads their offense at 15.8 points per game. On the other hand, Baboucarr Njie leads UTSA on the boards with 5.4 rpg, being fourth among scorers at 8.9 ppg and tops the blocking chart with 1.8 bpg (fourth in American).

The Golden Hurricane (21-6, 9-5 American) are losing steam ahead of the closing stretch in league play. They’ve lost three of their last five games, including three straight against USF, UAB and Wichita State before bouncing back with a win over Charlotte. They are 19th nationally with a 57.1 effective field goal percentage, shooting 48.2 percent from the field and 38.7% from the perimeter (12th nationally). Three players command the attack with David Green leading the way, putting up 16 ppg on 49.7 percent shooting along with 4.5 rpg. On another note, Miles Barnstable comes next with 15.4 ppg on 49% shooting, making a team-high 76 3-pointers on 42.9% shooting from downtown with a 19th national ranking.

UTSA vs Tulsa Head-to-Head

UTSA vs Tulsa Predictions

Tulsa is in a heated race for the American Conference regular-season title, trying to get the most ideal bracket to succeed and automatically qualify for the NCAA Tournament. UTSA has immensely struggled on both sides of the ball as its inability to consistently produce on offense has come at a great cost. Not only that, but Tulsa will make sure to defend homecourt and lock down any threat UTSA poses throughout the game. Our betting pick here is the Golden Hurricane to defend a 22.5-point spread.
