NCAAF: Week 4 Top-25 Showcase – 3 Ranked vs Ranked Matchups (Sep 20)

By · Updated 2 hours ago

Game 1: #17 Texas Tech @ #16 Utah

This game is likely to have Big-12 title game implications. Utah’s impressive win over UCLA is less so now that the Bruins are 0-3, but they’ll be tough to take down in front of their home crowd. This should be a competitive game, but I like Tech’s chances of securing the upset.

Game 2: #22 Auburn @ #11 Oklahoma

The SEC fields even more ranked teams this week with Auburn climbing to #22. They face the Sooners on the cusp of the top-10, who have gotten off to their best start in a while. This will be the toughest test so far for Washington State transfer QB John Mateer, but I see Oklahoma winning a close bout.

Game 3: #9 Illinois vs #21 Indiana

Illinois climbed into the top-10 this week, continuing to reastablish their program as a CFP contender. Indiana did the same last season with a CFP berth, but it’s still uncertain how much of that success they can retain this season with a lot of moving pieces. Expect this to be a very loud, defensive battle in Indiana.
