Below, we’ve taken the CBS NFL expert picks for Week 8, put current BetOnline lines on every one, and worked out exactly what their consensus parlay would pay.
This week, CBS’s two experts, Jordan Dajani and Jared Dubin, agreed on five of the eight games they picked. We like three of those five and would fade the other two. We’ve also graded how their picks did in Week 7, so you can see how following them would have worked out.
Based on CBS Sports’ published expert picks. VegasOdds is not affiliated with CBS Sports. Lines may have moved since CBS made its picks, so we’ve included the current BetOnline line for each game.
CBS NFL Expert Picks Week 8: Every Pick and Line Movement
The two CBS experts made picks against the spread on eight Week 8 games, and agreed on five. Here’s every pick, the line CBS used, and how that line has moved at BetOnline since.
| Game | CBS Pick | CBS Line | Line Movement |
|---|---|---|---|
| Panthers at Packers | Packers (both) | -3.5 | No change |
| Vikings at Lions | Lions (both) | -3 | -3.5 |
| Browns at Steelers | Steelers (both) | -3.5 | -3 |
| Ravens at Bills | Ravens (both) | +3.5 | +3 |
| Falcons at Buccaneers | Falcons (both) | +2.5 | +1 |
| Chiefs at Broncos | Split | Chiefs -1.5 | -1 |
| Eagles at Commanders | Split | Commanders -5.5 | No change |
| Bears at Seahawks | Split | Seahawks -3 | No change |
Several lines have moved since CBS made its picks, and most have gone from half points to whole numbers. The Steelers (-3), Ravens (+3), Falcons (+1) and Chiefs (-1) all now land on full numbers, so a push is possible in each game, with your stake returned if the margin lands exactly on the line.
The Lions have gone the other way, moving past the key number of 3 to -3.5, so Detroit now needs to win by four. The biggest move is on the Falcons, down from +2.5 to +1 as bettors have moved toward Atlanta.
What the CBS Consensus Parlay Pays
Put every pick the two CBS experts agreed on into one bet, and you get a five-leg parlay against the spread: Packers -3.5, Ravens +3, Lions -3.5, Steelers -3 and Falcons +1. On BetOnline, that parlay pays +2690, so a $100 bet returns $2,790.
As we’re on the Bills and Buccaneers in those games, we aren’t sold on the Falcons or Ravens, so we’ve added our own parlay choice: Packers -3.5, Lions -3.5, and Steelers -3. That three-team parlay pays +591 on BetOnline, so $100 returns $691, a great payout for a bet that only needs three results to go your way.
| Parlay | Legs | Odds | $100 returns |
|---|---|---|---|
| CBS consensus | Packers, Ravens, Lions, Steelers, Falcons | +2690 | $2,790 |
| Our trimmed parlay | Packers, Lions, Steelers | +591 | $691 |
Want the exact lines CBS picked? BetOnline lets you buy points right on the bet slip, so you can take the Ravens back to +3.5 or the Lions back to -3 at slightly shorter prices. Either way, a three-point result then works in your favor rather than against you.
With the Steelers on a whole number, it’s also worth knowing how a push works in a parlay. If a leg lands exactly on the number, it simply drops out and the parlay pays out on the remaining legs, so you’re still alive.

Bet on the NFL TodayMissed Thursday Night Football? The Sunday-Only Parlays
Too late for the Packers? Drop them, and the CBS consensus becomes a four-leg Sunday parlay paying +1361 on BetOnline, so $100 returns $1,461. Our trimmed version comes down to just the Lions and Steelers at +260, returning $360.
| Parlay | Legs | Odds | $100 returns |
|---|---|---|---|
| CBS Sunday consensus | Ravens, Lions, Steelers, Falcons | +1361 | $1,461 |
| Our Sunday parlay | Lions, Steelers | +260 | $360 |
CBS Consensus Picks: Parlay vs Straight Bets
Here’s what each CBS consensus pick pays on its own at BetOnline, compared with putting all five into one parlay.
| CBS pick | Odds | $100 returns |
|---|---|---|
| Packers -3.5 | -110 | $190.91 |
| Ravens +3 | -104 | $196.15 |
| Lions -3.5 | +100 | $200.00 |
| Steelers -3 | -125 | $180.00 |
| Falcons +1 | +107 | $207.00 |
| All five as straight bets | $974.06 from $500 staked | |
| All five as one parlay | +2690 | $2,790 from $100 staked |
Straight bets mean each pick stands on its own, so you can still finish ahead with three winners out of five. The parlay needs all five to land, but turns $100 into $2,790 when it does, which is why our trimmed three-leg version at +591 is a nice middle ground.
How the CBS Expert Picks Did in Week 7
The CBS experts agreed on just two picks in Week 7: the Bears -3 against the Patriots and the Lions -3 against the Packers. The Bears won 30-24 to cover comfortably, while the Lions won 20-17, landing exactly on the number for a push.
That push turned the two-leg parlay into a single bet on the Bears, so $100 returned $190.91. Betting $100 on each pick separately would have returned $290.91 from $200 staked. Either way, a $90.91 profit.
| Week 7 consensus pick | Result | $100 bet returned |
|---|---|---|
| Bears -3 vs Patriots | âś… Won (30-24) | $190.91 |
| Lions -3 vs Packers | âž– Push (20-17) | $100.00 |
| Two-leg parlay | âś… Won (Bears only) | $190.91 |
Individually, Jordan Dajani went 4-2-1 against the spread in Week 7, while Jared Dubin finished 3-3-1.
