Bet Eagles vs Commanders at BetUSThe NFC East rivalry between the Eagles and the Commanders doesn’t draw the attention it once did. Both teams are well below .500 and, for now, a long way from the playoff picture.

Game Preview
Philadelphia Eagles
Without Jalen Hurts, who is out for the season, the Eagles are a below-average team. With RB Saquon Barkley struggling to find his rhythm and get back to full fitness, it’s clear how tough things are in Philly, and the team has slipped to 2-5.
The Eagles’ offense scores just 18.1 points per game, fourth-worst in the league. After opening the season with two wins, Philadelphia has lost five straight, failing to score more than 21 points in any of them.
Washington Commanders
Washington is 1-4-1. In Week 5, the Commanders tied the Giants 27-27 at home, before losing 23-17 to the 49ers on Monday Night Football in Week 6. They’ve been wildly inconsistent, beating the Super Bowl champion Seahawks and then losing at home to the Colts the following week.
WR Terry McLaurin is out for the season with a torn patellar tendon, which leaves a huge hole in the passing game. The one positive for head coach Dan Quinn is that his team is coming off a bye, with plenty of time to recover physically and mentally.
Eagles vs Commanders Predictions
With Hurts out for the season and the team at 2-5, the Eagles may already have one eye on next year. Dan Quinn’s position in Washington is under real pressure, though, and he needs this win badly, coming off a bye with a rested roster.
Even without that context, we’d back the Commanders at home. The Eagles are without their starting quarterback, Barkley is still struggling to find his form, and the market agrees, with Washington moving from -4.5 to -5.5 this week. The Commanders need to win by six or more to cover, and against an offense this limited, they have every chance.
The under looks like the play as well. Philadelphia scores just 18.1 points per game and hasn’t topped 21 during its five-game losing streak, while Washington is without McLaurin’s big-play threat. At 40, this one should stay low-scoring.
- Best bet: Commanders moneyline (-245)
- Eagles vs Commanders pick against the spread: Commanders -5.5
- Eagles vs Commanders over/under pick: Under 40
