Commanders vs. Eagles Odds
Game Preview
Commanders hope to see receiver Stefon Diggs bringing some of his magic to the field. He and Terry McLaurin could form an interesting offensive duo, especially if Jayden Daniels stays healthy and returns to his 2024 form.
Dan Quinn could have problems with his defense. Commanders have no notable defensive stars nor anchors, and the biggest name is still 36-year-old Bobby Wagner. So the offense will have to be extra efficient until (if) defense clicks.
Eagles are still among the favorites to win the NFC East and the Super Bowl. Sure, AJ Brown is out, but Hurts, Smith, and Barkley are still in Philly.
Defensively, coordinator Vic Fangio relies on a powerful interior front. Just look at the names the Eagles have: Jalen Carter and Jordan Davis alongside young secondary cornerbacks Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean. They are going to be extremely physical.
Commanders vs. Eagles Head to Head
Commanders lead the all-time series 91-87-5. Last year, Philly won 29-18 in DC, and the Commanders responded by winning in Philadelphia, 24-17.
Commanders vs. Eagles Predictions
Philly is just way too strong for the Commanders. Both the Eagles’ offense and defense are much better than the Commanders’, and we expect them to handle this one easily.
