The LA Rams are the favorites in Chicago, but all of their fans are worried about Matt Stafford’s sprained right index finger, earned in Charlotte. Also, the starting CB Whiterspoon is out.
Sean McVay’s unit allowed too many points against the Panthers, winning 34-31, though showing inconsistency throughout the game. The defense allowed only 83 yards on the ground, but three scores there, which made this even more complicated than planned.
The Chicago Bears defeated the Packers after yet another stunning comeback and an 18-point deficit. It seems that these Bears own the Packers without Rogers. Still, we can’t say that Chicago showed some excellent football apart from the finish.
After losing the final two regular-season events, the win here was refreshing, but overall, the performance was mediocre. Caleb Williams had 361 passing yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions, but, apart from the finish, he was inconsistent.
