NFL DPOY Contenders
The Big 4
We don’t need to say too much about:
A) Myles Garrett – Browns – 14.0 sacks, 40 solo hits, one pick, 3 forced fumbles in the 2025 season. He is the 2023 DPOY winner and one of the nastiest defensive ends in the NFL.
B) Aidan Hutchinson – Lions – in 5 games played prior to the injury in 2024, he had 7.5 sacks, 12 solo his, and 17 QB hits. Hutchinson is also one of the top favorites for winning the NFL Comeback Player of the Year award.
C) Micah Parsons – Cowboys – the 2021 DROY, 12 sacks, 30 solo tackles, 2 forced fumbles all that in 11 games for Dallas last year. One of the most versatile defenders in the NFL.
D) TJ Watt – Steelers – The younger of the Watt brothers, also with the DPOY award. With 6 forced fumbles last year, he led the league, and added 11.5 sacks with 19 tackles for loss and 27 QB hits.
All the Others Come After
Will Anderson, Maxx Crosby, Jared Verse, Nick Bosa, all these guys, and many more come after. Of course, the reigning winner, Surtain, is there as well.
