Game Preview
Fins didn’t have a great start to the season. They lost to the Raiders at Allegiant Stadium, 27-13. Only 74 rushing yards may have been the main reason for the defeat. QB Malik Willis ran for 39 yards, and De’Von Achane had 36 yards on 11 carries.
The secondary did its thing, recording two picks. Dante Trader Jr. and Michael Taaffe both picked Kirk Cousins, but that simply wasn’t enough for Miami to avoid a defeat. Why? Because the pass rush couldn’t register a single sack.
Many say the Niners beat the Rams 27-7 because of jet lag and Myles Garrett’s injury. But San Francisco prevented former 2025 NFL MVP Matt Stafford from throwing a touchdown pass and limited one of the league’s best passers to just 155 yards through the air.
Meanwhile, the Niners recorded 174 rushing yards, while Brock Purdy threw for 205 yards and 3 scores, being picked once. WR Mike Evans immediately notched a TD reception on his debut.
Dolphins vs. 49ers Predictions
This is a nice opportunity for the Niners to further extend the momentum and boost their morale. This unit is very balanced, and in our opinion, there’s no way they’ll allow an upset against one of the weakest teams in the NFL.
