Game Preview

The Las Vegas Raiders started the season with a 27-13 victory over the Miami Dolphins in Week 1. Klint Kubiak’s offensive scheme suited well for rookie RB Ashton Jeanty, who shined in this event. He had 102 rushing yards, 45 receiving yards, and two touchdowns, making a very good NFL debut.

Kwity Paye was superb on the defensive side, racking up two sacks and 6 tackles. The hard defensive end also posted 4 QB hits, and the Raiders overall had 11, unleashing quite a beating on the Fins’ starting passer Malik Willis.

The Chargers fell to the Arizona Cardinals, 26-14, in Glendale, suffering an unexpected loss. Jim Harbaugh’s defense fell apart, allowing 393 total yards, while, on the other hand, the Chargers’ run game struggled badly, producing only 81 yards.

Quarterback Justin Herbert threw for 209 yards and one touchdown, with one pick and three sacks. He once again struggled with protection, something that has bothered the Chargers for a long time. Herbert also ran for 29 yards, and the offense pretty much revolved around him.

Raiders vs. Chargers Predictions

This is a long-time AFC West rivalry with plenty of tension involved. Right now, the Chargers are favorites, but the Raiders are coming into town having the momentum and without any pressure. Don’t be surprised to see the guests winning, yet we will take a more cautious approach and bet that LVR defends the spread.
