Commanders vs. Patriots Odds
Game Preview
The Commanders are in a state of shock following Terry McLaurin’s decision to ask for a trade. This will hurt the team significantly because it has only created chemistry and a system that promised a lot.
Marcus Mariota is out for this one due to his leg injury, so Josh Johnson and Sam Hartman are going to lead the way. If McLaurin leaves, the 4th round pick, Jaylin Lane from Virginia Tech, will have to take a much bigger role than projected, so we expect him to have plenty of reps here.
The Pats added a few players compared to the last year and are expected to be better now. Drake Maye needs to stabilize, as he has shown solid potential, and this might be his breakout year.
There is one particular player we would like to see in this event: the No. 4 pick, OT Will Campbell. The LSU star can be a game-changer for the Pats, who are now going to have someone to protect Maye which wasn’t the case in the past.
Commanders vs. Patriots Head to Head
So far, these teams have played 12 times, and the Commanders have a 7-5 edge. The last game was in 2023, when Washington won on the road, 20-17.
Commanders vs. Patriots Predictions
Pats play at home, and they will use more of their starters than the Commanders, so we pick them to win this event.
