Lions vs. Falcons Odds
Game Preview
Detroit experienced Jim Harbaugh’s defense against the Chargers, losing that game 34-7. To say the least, it was a hard kick in the teeth for the Lions, who were the best offense last year. Sure, the starters didn’t have much action, but still.
Kyle Allen had sorry 91 yards and two picks, with 9-for-14. He is slowly losing a very limited reputation, and if he continues to perform like this, he won’t be able to be a backup anymore. The rookie WR Isaac TeSlaa was excellent, having two receptions for 46 yards.
Atlanta needs a breakout season, and everyone believes that this is the one. They’ve boosted defense heavily on the draft, picking two defensive ends in the first round, and two more safeties in the third and the fourth.
When it comes to the offense, the Falcons have two QBs, Kirk Cousins, a veteran, and the youngster waiting to jump in, Michael Penix Jr. It’ll be interesting to see who starts here. And our gut tells us that Penix Jr. will get a chance to prove himself during the preseason.
Lions vs. Falcons Head to Head
The overall record in the series is 26-14 for the Lions. The most recent clash was in 2023 when Detroit won at home, 20-6.
Lions vs. Falcons Predictions
Kyle Allen will start again for the Lions, and he will be the perfect victim for the Falcons’ young and hungry defense. That’s why we pick the home team to win here.
