49ers vs. Raiders Odds
Game Preview
A 30-9 loss to the Broncos at Levi’s Stadium was a disappointment, even though it’s a preseason opener. Especially because the 49ers had a 9-0 lead at the end of the opening quarter. Afterward the Niners collapsed, allowing Denver to post 20 straight points.
San Francisco’s quarterbacks, Mac Jones, Carter Bradley, and Tanner Mordecai, didn’t throw for a single touchdown, but all of them were intercepted once. In total, these guys combined for 107 passing yards.
Pete Carroll debuted for the Raiders against the Seahawks at Lumen Field. There’s some beauty in this. Seattle managed to get away unbeaten, with the game ending in a 23-23 tie.
Aidan O’Connell threw for 205 yards for a touchdown and two picks. His top target was Shedrick Jackson, who had 4 receptions for 76 yards and a touchdown. There weren’t too many starters involved, and we only expect to see the Raiders’ top players as the preseason goes by.
49ers vs. Raiders Head to Head
There have been 15 matches between these franchises, and the current record stands at 8-7 in favor of the 49ers. San Francisco won 4 of the previous 5 events.
49ers vs. Raiders Predictions
Both teams are expected to bring in more starters, and since this is his first game is in Las Vegas, Carroll would like to win it, even if he has to use superstars more than planned. That’s why we pick the Raiders to triumph.
