49ers vs. Seahawks Odds
Game Preview
The Niners had a more or less quiet offseason, where they didn’t make too much of a fuss in free agency. On the other hand, it was noticeable that their draft revolved around defense, and that all their high picks were used on strengthening that part of the unit.
After losing to the Broncos in the opening preseason game, 30-9, they later beat both AFC West rivals, the Raiders, 22-19, and the Chargers, 30-23. Kyle Shanahan mostly used backups, and they really showed well.
The Seahawks turned a new leaf. They moved on from Geno Smith, and their new QB is Sam Darnold. Also, Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf are out, while Cooper Kupp and several other veterans landed.
Head coach Mike Macdonald had started his tenure well, posting 10 wins and 7 losses last year, and is expected to stay on the same track, possibly to make a step forward if possible. After all, there are plenty of new players on the roster now.

The Seahawks lead the series against the 49ers, with the Seahawks having 31 wins and the Niners having 23. Their last game was in 2024 when Seattle won on the road, 20-17.

The key here is that the Seahawks have plenty of new faces on the team, whereas the 49ers don’t. Their chemistry is at a higher level, and this should be a difference-maker in this event.
