Game Preview

The Lions were dominant in the NFC North over the last couple of years, but this season their reign will be tested. One of the ascending teams is the Packers, and this game can tell us a lot.

What we don’t like about the Lions’ team is that they didn’t upgrade the O-Line significantly. Sure, it’s solid, but nothing more than that. DT Tyleik Williams, the No.28 from this year’s draft, will be a huge defensive contributor.

The Packers were solid in the preseason, posting two wins and a loss. Overall, the team played solid football, but the fact that starting QB Jordan Love has thumb problems is something that troubles the fans and Matt LaFleur.

On the other hand, the Packers have a very dominant run game with Josh Jacobs leading the way. He had 1,329 yards last year and 15 rushing TDs. His replacement, Emanuel Wilson, was also very good, posting 502 yards on 103 carries and 4 touchdowns. Oh, not to forget, the Packs have landed Micah Parsons from the Cowboys. That’s going to be a blast on the long run.

Lions vs. Packers Head to Head

The Lions have won 6 of the last 7 events against the Packers, but overall, Green Bay has an edge in the all-time series. After 191 matches, the Packers have 106 wins, the Lions 78, and 7 ended without a winner.

Lions vs. Packers Predictions

With the total sitting at 46.5 points, Over looks as the best possible pick here. From our perspective, the game can go either way in terms of the winner, and given all the offensive weapons on both ends, Over is the logical choice.
