Game Preview
The Rams are 6-2 coming into this event, also having the second-best defense in the NFL. They allow 15.9 points per game, and that’s a stat just a few notice. Defense isn’t getting credit as much as the offense.
As for the offense, Matt Stafford leads the No.1 passing crew in the league, averaging 258 passing yards per game. With 21 touchdown throws, he leads the league in that category, and besides that, he has just two intercepted passes.
The 49ers are battling various injuries and are still in the mix for winning the NFC West. Some say that WR Ricky Pearsall might be ready here, but QB Brock Purdy and others, like DE Bryce Huff, are out.
Niners were better than the Giants in New York last week, 34-24. Christian McCaffrey had 106 yards on the ground and a TD, while catching 67 receiving yards for one score as well. Jones was 19-for-24 for two touchdown passes and 235 yards through the air.
