Game Preview
The Saints had a tough match against the Bears in week 9, but managed to win 17-24 thanks to some outstanding performances from their offensive stars. Quarterback Derek Carr threw 25 out of 34 completions for 211 yards and two touchdowns. It seems that Carr has finally found his feet in New Orleans. However, utility player Taysum Hill was the standout performer with one passing touchdown, 52 rushing yards, and a receiving touchdown. Hill has become an essential player for the Saints offense this season.
In week 9, the Vikings managed to secure a 31-28 victory over the Falcons. Although several players had a notable performance, Joshua Dobbs is the talk of the town this week. Dobbs had only joined the Minnesota team a few days prior to kickoff and was named the backup without even having learned the scheme. However, when starter Jalen Hall suffered a concussion, Dobbs was thrown into the game late in the first quarter. Despite being new to the team and the scheme, he completed 20 passes for 158 yards, scored two touchdowns andย had 7 carries for 66 yards including one score, which earned him the status of a Vikings’ hero.
Prediction
Joshua Dobbs will find life a little tougher against the Saints’ defense than he did versus Atlanta, but this game could go either way. I’m going to throw my weight behind the Vikings’ causing an upset here and winning against the odds.
