Game Preview

It’s notable to say that the Steelers’ defense finally showed up and that it was the reason why Pittsburgh defeated the Colts last weekend, 27-20. Jonathan Taylor was stopped at only 45 rushing yards, while Daniel Jones had three intercepted passes and two lost fumbles.

On the other hand, with just 203 passing yards and one TD pass, Aaron Rodgers managed to lead his team to a win. Also, Jaylen Warren had two rushing touchdowns. The Steelers’ run game remains ineffective, gaining only 38 yards on the ground against the Colts.

The Chargers are back, winning three of the last four. We must note that the schedule was working in their favor, meeting weaker teams on the road (Dolphins and Titans) and struggling ones at home (Vikings).

Their passing defense ranks third in the NFL, allowing 177.1 yards per game. This will be a huge challenge for Rodgers, and we can’t wait to see how the 4-time MVP handles the LAC’s secondary.

Steelers vs. Chargers Head to Head

Pittsburgh leads the series 25-11, with the last meeting in the previous season, 20-10 for the Steelers in Pittsburgh.

Steelers vs. Chargers Predictions

Pittsburgh has been inconsistent, though; their rivals were far, far stronger than the Chargers’. This should be a battle of two good defenses, where the matchups favor the defensive units over the offense. Our pick would be under 44.5 points.
