Game Preview

The LA Chargers are in excellent shape, having won 4 of their last 5 games and three in a row. Last weekend, we saw them routinely beat the Steelers on Sunday Night Football, 25-10. Their defense forced three turnovers, including two interceptions and one fumble, which ultimately proved the difference here.

RB Kimani Vidal had 95 rushing yards and a TD, while Ladd McConkey caught 4 passes for 107 yards and one touchdown. Justin Herbert was 20/33 for 220 passing yards and a TD pass.

Jaguars allowed 26 points in the final quarter, not scoring a single one. They eventually lost to the Texans on the road, 36-29, and this setback has to hurt. It’s not only because of the performance in the last period, but also because the Texans are their division rivals.

Trevor Lawrence was harassed all the time, having just 158 passing yards for one TD and one interception. He fumbled the ball twice, losing one, and was sacked on 5 occasions, for 39 negative yards.

Chargers vs. Jaguars Head to Head

LA Chargers lead the all-time series, 9-5. The last meeting was in the 2023 AFC Wild Card game, when the Jags won 31-30.

Chargers vs. Jaguars Predictions

This game is expected to feature intense defensive efforts from both sides. Lately, the Jaguars’ defense has been highly inconsistent, with black spots, while the Chargers look much better in that segment of play. It’s the reason why we side with the Chargers to win here.
