Game Preview

The Jets have won two games in a row, and in between, a successful trade where they managed to lay some foundations for the future, acquiring picks and numerous other assets. They beat the Cleveland Browns last Sunday, 27-20, mainly due to their special team, which scored two touchdowns.

Kene Nwangwu had a 99-yard kick return that went all the way, and on the other hand, Isaiah Williams had returned a punt into the Browns’ endzone. On top of that, Will McDonald IV posted 4 sacks, and all this covered for Fields’ terrible performance.

The Patriots went down to Florida and beat the Buccaneers and Mayfield, 28-23. Drake Maye wasn’t that confident as always, having 270 passing yards for two touchdowns and one interception, but he had huge help from RB TreVeyon Henderson.

We saw the 23-year-old running for 147 yards and scoring 2 touchdowns. Receivers Kyle Williams and Stefon Diggs added one receiving score, while Mack Hollins didn’t have one, though he reached 106 receiving yards.

Jets vs. Patriots Head to Head

The Jets and Pats are division rivals, and they’ve met 132 times so far. Pats have a 75-56 edge, with one game ending in a tie. This is their first meeting of the season, and last year, we saw the Jets win at home, 24-3, while the Patriots beat them at Gillette, 25-22.

Jets vs. Patriots Predictions

The Pats are absolute favorites here, though we wouldn’t go with them covering the spread. The weather will be freezing, and given that these two teams have solid defenses, we are going to bet on under, mainly because of the profitable odds.
