The Giants’ run defense is subpar, currently ranking as the third-worst in the league, allowing 149.9 yards on the ground. Along with injuries, it’s the primary reason why this team has suffered five consecutive defeats.
Against the Packers, the NYG had a chance to triumph, but in the end, it was 27-20 for Green Bay, because Jameis Winston couldn’t deliver, making some errors in moments when he shouldn’t. All three touchdowns the Giants had were via run, two by Singletary and one by Winston.
As for the Lions, their offense was blown into pieces in Philadelphia, where the hosts triumphed 16-9 this Sunday night. Jared Goff had one touchdown and one intercepted pass, completing only 14 of his 37 passes.
On the other hand, the defense was solid, but in the end, they allowed a touchdown by Hurts, and couldn’t stop Philly’s run game. Eagles eventually had 148 rushing yards, which is way too much for a game like this. For instance, the Lions had just 74. Also, we have to add that the officials helped Eagles a lot in this event.
