NFL Week 15: Detroit Lions vs. LA Rams Preview, Odds, Picks (Dec 14)
- Lions vs. Rams total is 55.5 points.
- Matt Stafford is arguably the top candidate for the NFL MVP award.
- The Detroit Lions score the most points per game in the NFL, 30.3.
Two high-octane defenses clash, with their leaders being the ones traded for each other a few years ago. Jared Goff comes back to LA, while Matt Stafford waits for his former Lions. Emotions will peak here, but hey, that’s the NFL.

Lions vs. Rams Odds
Game Preview
The way the Lions play is frustrating for their fans. Subsequent wins and losses in recent times pushed the Lions away from the top of the NFC North, so now, each game will be a must-win for the Michigan franchise.
Last Thursday Night, we saw them beating the Cowboys, 44-30, in a game that showed everything about this team. Defense is average, sometimes mild, but once the attack gets into its rhythm, it’s unstoppable.
As for the Rams, they are probably the most complete team in the NFL. They have superstars everywhere, and it’s no wonder they’re the 4th-best offense and the 3rd-best defense. Enough said about that.
After losing to the Panthers on the road, 31-28, the Rams rolled over the Cardinals, 45-17, last weekend. Stafford added 3 touchdowns to his tally, without being picked, for 281 passing yards. Puka Nacua had two touchdown receptions and 167 yards, while Blake Corum ran 12 times for 128 yards.
Lions vs. Rams Head to Head
The series is close: the Rams have won 45 times, the Lions 43, and one game ended in a tie. In the 2023 playoffs, they met in the NFC Wild Card game, when the Lions won, 24-23. A year later, they won again, 26-20 OT. Both events were in Detroit.
Lions vs. Rams Predictions
The line is 55.5 points. Of course, we are picking OVER here. That’s not too many points for these teams, and be sure their approach here is offense-first.
