Game Preview
The Packers’ injury plagued, inconsistent season continued with a 34-20 defeat at the hands of Tampa Bay in week 15. Whilst Aaron Jones returned to the field after another injury absence, fellow RB AJ Dillon missed out with a broken thumb. Dillon is said to have progressed well in practice this week and could suit up alongside Jones this week. WR Jayden Reed did not feature at practice this week and the rookie wideout looks set for a spell on the sidelines along with fellow receiver Christian Watson. Romeo Doubs and Dontayvion Wicks will receive the bulk of the targets in their stead.
The Panthers picked up a shock 7-9 win over the Falcons in week 15, in what was a drab and uninspiring game with few highlights. Rookie QB Bryce Young had his seventh straight game with fewer than 200 passing yards, and the 22-year-old is struggling to shine in a mediocre offense.
Prediction
Even with a few of their star names missing for this one, the Packers should have more than enough to defeat the Panthers here.
