Game Preview
With WR Chris Olave still sidelined, the Saints’ offense shared the targets around as they cruised to a 6-24 victory over the Giants. Alvin Kamara took 16 carries for 66 yards and caught all 5 of his targets to add a further 44 yards. Tight Ends Juwan Johnson and Jimmy Graham both found the end zone and wide receiver Keith Kirkwood scored his first NFL touchdown since his 2018 rookie season. Olave remains questionable heading into this Thursday night game, and will have one more practice in which to prove his fitness.
The Rams overcame the Commanders 20-28 on Sunday and head into this week 16 matchup against the Saints with no new injury concerns. Sophomore RB Kyren Williams has emerged as a top 10 NFL running back will pass 1000 rushing yards for the season if he gains 47+ this week. The 23-year old has 8 rushing touchdowns, and three receiving scores, so far this season and has given the Rams a different dimension to their play.
Prediction
The Rams currently hold the final NFC playoff spot, and they won’t want to lose their grip on it this close to the end. I see Los Angeles getting the job done again here, against a Saints team that has been much improved of late.
