  • The Titans lost 17-20 to the Seahawks in week 16.
  • The Texans were beaten 36-22 by the Browns last time out.
  • These teams also met in week 15, with the Texans winning 19-16.

The 5-10 Tennessee Titans take on the 8-7 Houston Texans in this week 17, AFC South divisional matchup. The Titans are already eliminated from the playoff picture, whilst the Texans’ hopes of a playoff run would all but end with defeat here.

Game Preview

Will Levis is slated to resume starting quarterback duties following his recovery from an ankle injury that kept him out for week 16. RB Derrick Henry will be hoping for a better performance than he put in the last time these two teams met. In week 15 Henry carried the ball 16 times for only 9 yards, and added 1 further yard from 4 receptions. Despite bouncing back with 88 yards and a touchdown last week, the Texans’ defense will be a concern for the 29-year-old running back.

After missing two weeks due to a concussion, the Texans welcome rookie sensation C.J. Stroud back to resume his starting QB role. RB Devin Singletary suffered from a poor game script last weekend, but the sight of the Titans on the horizon will have him brimming with confidence. In week 15 against Tennessee, Singletary rushed for 121 yards on 26 carries and added 49 yards from 4 receptions. The 26-year-old could be set for another good performance here.

Prediction

The Texans should have too much for Tennessee yet again here, and I expect them to run out comfortable winners.
