49ers vs. Saints Odds
Game Preview
With 1:34 to go, Brock Purdy connected with Jake Tonges for a 4-yard TD pass, which set the final score in Seattle, 49ers 17, Seahawks 13. Tonges is only the third option for San Francisco at the TE position.
Brock Purdy oscillated a lot, throwing 26-for-35, for 277 passing yards, two TDs, yet two picks as well. WR Ricky Pearsall had four receptions for 108 yards, one of them 45 yards long.
The Saints couldn’t get their offense going in the second half, scoring just 3 points in that part of the game. QB Spencer Rattler was insecure, 27-for-46 for 214 yards, without a TD pass. He was sacked just once and didn’t commit any turnovers. He is 0-7 as a starter for the Saints.
New Orleans’ defense looked solid, as it managed to sack Kyler Murray 5 times. Carl Granderson and Cameron Jordan both had a sack and a half in this one.
49ers vs. Saints Head to Head
San Francisco has a huge edge over the Saints in head-to-head clashes – 50-27-2. The last meeting was in 2022, a 13-0 49ers’ win.
49ers vs. Saints Predictions
While the Saints’ defense looks solid and delivers, the offense is shaky due to Rattler’s low confidence. And to be honest, for the moment, he doesn’t look like NFL starter material. Bet on the 49ers to win this one.
