Game Preview
Jalen Hurts dominated the Cowboys in the opening game of the year. He ran for 62 yards and two touchdowns, though, throwing only 152 yards, but without any turnovers.
If it weren’t for Philly’s running, which generated 158 yards, this would be a problematic game for the hosts, because their top receivers didn’t show up – A.J. Brown 8 yards and DeVonta Smith 16.
The Chiefs traveled to Sao Paulo, where they lost to the division rivals, the LA Chargers, 27-21. Mahomes gave everything he had, throwing for 258 yards and one TD, and also running for 57 yards and another touchdown.
Kansas City didn’t have too many options in its attack, particularly on the ground. Without Mahomes, they had only 41 rushing yards, which is too low. Especially when you have the best NFL defense across the scrimmage line.
