NFL Week 2: Seahawks vs. Steelers Preview, Odds, Picks (Sep 14)
- Seahawks vs. Steelers over/under line is set at 39.5 points.
- Aaron Rodgers threw 4 touchdowns on his debut.
- Seattle Seahawks lost to the 49ers at home, 17-13.
Unlike Aaron Rodgers, who was fantastic in his debut for the Steelers, Sam Darnold’s first game for the Seahawks was, to say the least, weak. This is the chance for him to redeem.

Seahawks vs. Steelers Odds
Game Preview
Zach Wilson completed 16 of his 23 passes for 150 yards. Jaxon Smith-Njigba caught 9 of those throws for 124 receiving yards. He did fumble the ball twice, committing one turnover.
The Seahawks’ secondary was very good, as it managed to pick up Brock Purdy twice. Ernest Jones IV and Josh Jobe had an interception each. Seattle’s defense looked good, but they spent 38 minutes on the field, which was too much.
Rogers was sacked 4 times, but he threw 4 touchdowns in his first game as a Steeler. The 4-time NFL MVP had 244 passing yards without an interception. What’s more important is that all of his touchdown passes were to different players.
What should worry Mike Tomlin is his run game, because Jaylen Warren and Kennet Gainwell had just 56 yards combined. Additionally, the Steelers’ defense has recorded just one sack in this game. Not what we expected at all.
Seahawks vs. Steelers Head to Head
There have been only 21 games between these teams so far. Pittsburgh leads 11-10.
Seahawks vs. Steelers Predictions
We take the Steelers with a spread. They have a playoff-worthy team that plays in front of its own crowd against a unit that is in a rebuild with a new QB. That’s enough for us to pick Pittsburgh.
