NFL Week 3: Bengals vs. Vikings Preview, Odds, Picks (Sep 21)
- Bengals vs. Vikings game comes at a bad moment for both units.
- Joe Burrow will be out for three months.
- Carson Wentz will replace injured J.J. McCarthy
Burrow’s injury shredded the Bengals’ plans, but we don’t think Zac Taylor and his boys are going to give up. Cinci heads to Minnesota to face the Vikings, who will also play without a starting QB.

Bengals vs. Vikings Odds
Game Preview
The Bengals have been crushed with the news that Joe Burrow is going to miss at least three months due to his toe injury and a surgery that had to be done. We don’t need to say how big a problem this is for Cinci.
Jake Browning replaced Burrow, and wasn’t that well, yet he had luck. The backup QB had 241 passing yards, two touchdown passes, and THREE interceptions. But he had a go-ahead TD from the one-yard line, which would eventually decide the game.
Vikings’ QB J.J. McCarthy was terrible, too. It’s no wonder to see Minnesota losing 22-6 to the Falcons at home. McCarthy threw for 158 yards, was picked twice, fumbled three times, losing one possession. Also, the Falcons sacked him 6 times. Now, because of his injury, Carson Wentz will start as the Vikes’ quarterback.
Minnesota’s defense was terrible in stopping the run game, allowing Atlanta 218 yards on the ground and one TD. This was the sole reason why Kevin O’Connell’s team lost.
Bengals vs. Vikings Head to Head
In 15 games so far, the Bengals have 8 wins and the Vikes have 7 wins. Last one was in 2023 when Cinci won via OT, 27-24.
Bengals vs. Vikings Predictions
The Bengals are in trouble, and they are too big for them to get out of Minneapolis undefeated. Vikes also have their issues, but in our opinion Wentz is a better player than Browning, which is the reason for betting on the hosts.
