Falcons vs. Panthers Odds
Game Preview
Falcons ravaged J.J. McCarthy in Minneapolis, winning 22-6 in the end. We can’t say that it was because of Michael Penix Jr., who had only 135 passing yards, yet he played his part.
The main role was reserved for Bijan Robinson, who rushed for 143 yards. His colleague in the backfield, Tyler Allgeier, added 76 yards and one touchdown, while the defense sacked the Vikings’ QB six times.
Panthers aren’t playing well, but they still had a shot to win in Glendale. But as so many times over the past few years, they missed it. Calais Campbell sacked Bryce Young in the key situation, and that was it. Cards won 27-22.
Young threw for 328 passing yards and 3 touchdowns, making one pick and losing a fumble. The run game was sluggish, as the Panthers posted only 49 ground yards.
Falcons vs. Panthers Head to Head
This is an NFC South division rivalry. In the previous 60 games, the Falcons won 37 times, and the Panthers 23. Last year it was 1-1: Falcons won in Charlotte, 38-20, while Panthers triumphed in Georgia, 44-38 OT.
Falcons vs. Panthers Predictions
Our pick here are the Falcons. They have a more versatile attack, and Penix Jr. isn’t under the pressure like Young. At least for the moment. Additionally, Atlanta’s run game is excellent, which will only give him more space.
