Jets vs. Buccaneers Odds
Game Preview
New York Jets are preparing for the possibility of playing without Justin Fields, who is in concussion protocol. Without him, the veteran QB Tyrod Taylor will hit the field and try to lead the NYJ to their first win. In a 30-10 loss to Buffalo, he had 7 completions for 56 yards and 1 touchdown.
The Jets’ run defense was terrible, allowing the Bills 224 yards on the ground, where James Cook not only ran for 132 yards but for two touchdowns. Overall, the team from New York had just one sack.
The Bucs were better than the Texans in Houston, 20-19. Baker Mayfield led an 80-yard drive to get the Buccaneers to an end zone and a win. Rachaad White ran for two yards to set the final score and leave the rivals with 6 seconds to go.
Buccaneers had 169 rushing yards, Mayfield ran for 33, while Bucky Irving ended with 71 yards. Mayfield threw two touchdown passes and 215 yards, one to Ryan Miller and the other to Emeka Egbuka.
Jets vs. Buccaneers Head to Head
New York Jets lead 10-3 in the series, but the last two events saw the Bucs winning.
Jets vs. Buccaneers Predictions
The Jets, with or without Justin Fields, won’t match Tampa Bay’s intensity on both ends of the field. Mayfield looks stable and is on fire these days, and so is the Bucs offense, so it’s logical for them to take advantage of the Jets’ recent struggles and win.
