Steelers vs. Patriots Odds
Game Preview
When needed the most, the Steelers failed to show up, and we mean that. Losing 31-17 at home to the Seahawks is a huge blow, but what’s worse is that there wasn’t a bright spot in Pittsburgh’s offense.
Rodgers had been intercepted twice, the rushers combined for 72 yards only, and the defense provided just two sacks. On top of that, the Steelers’ offensive line really looked mediocre, which is problematic when you have a quarterback who is in his fifth decade.
Unlike them, the Patriots rose above the situation to beat the AFC East rivals, the Miami Dolphins, 33-27. New England made Tua Tagovailoa uncomfortable in the deciding moments, with the defense posting 5 sacks.
On the other hand, the running game provided 122 yards on the ground with one touchdown, while Drake Maye passed for 230 yards and two scores. By the way, Maye ran into the endzone once as well. Plus, the special team had a TD too. Overall, this was a good game for Mike Vrabel and his team.
Steelers vs. Patriots Head to Head
The Pittsburgh Steelers have lost to the New England Patriots in 8 of the last 9 meetings.
Steelers vs. Patriots Predictions
The Steelers have problems in their game, which was visible against the Jets, too, despite the win. Pats oscillate, yet they have a good defense; that’s something noticeable. Our pick for this one will be Under 44.5 points, because both teams have tough defensive teams, plus, both Vrabel and Tomlin know to enter that ’90s old school mode where they focus on stopping the rivals.
