Texans vs. Jaguars Odds
Game Preview
Texans QB CJ Stroud expressed his frustration with the way things are going. The pressure is high on him and the head coach, DeMeco Ryans, who now has to win this one; otherwise, the AFC South is in jeopardy of being lost.
Both of Houston’s losses were tight, 14-9 on the road vs. the Chargers and 20-19 at home to Tampa Bay. The defense is solid, but the offense isn’t at the usual level. Stroud has just one passing TD so far.
The Jaguars had a chance to beat the Bengals, but wasted it because they couldn’t utilize the three turnovers the second-string QB Jake Browning handed them. It was 31-27 for Cinci, and a bitter hit in the mouth for the Jags.
Lawrence was mediocre again, having 271 passing yards, 3 touchdowns, but 2 interceptions. He also fumbled once, but luckily that ball was recovered. If he doesn’t step up soon, and the Jags miss another playoff, who knows what can happen during the offseason.
Texans vs. Jaguars Head to Head
After 46 games, the result is 31-15 for the Texans. Last season, Houston was better on both occasions, 24-20 at home and 23-20 on the road.
Texans vs. Jaguars Predictions
The Texans’ defense is very strong, and because of that, we are betting on the guests to win this one and get away from Florida with a victory. The Jags aren’t confident at all, and we have to go with the Texans.
