Eagles vs. Buccaneers Odds
Game Preview
The way the Eagles squeezed against the Rams raised some concerns in Philly, and we are sure that both the staff and the players will have a response ready in Tampa Bay. If it wasn’t for Jordan Davis’ blocked field goal and his return to the end zone, we are sure that the Rams would have won this one.
What we noticed over the opening three games is that the Eagles’ defense is very sloppy in their run-stopping, allowing 133.3 yards on the ground per game. Also, their passing game is not at a high level, averaging only 146.7 yards through the air, which ranks 29th in the NFL.
Tampa won with the time expiring, beating the Jets 29-27 in a roller coaster game. K Chase McLaughlin hit a 36-yard field goal, with the clock hitting zero, to lift the Bucs to 3-0.
The Buccaneers’ rush defense is excellent, allowing only 84 running yards, which is the No.6 in the NFL. On the other side, they are generating 130.7 rushing yards in each event, mainly through RB Bucky Irving, who is playing superbly.
Eagles vs. Buccaneers Head to Head
Tampa won 6 of the last 7 games against the Eagles, two of them in the playoffs. The last one was in September 2024, when the Bucs defeated the Eagles 33-16 in Florida.
Eagles vs. Buccaneers Predictions
Mike Evans’ injury might be a big bust for the hosts, and even though Chris Godwin comes back, his contribution will be questionable. On the other hand, the Bucs have an edge on the ground, so this one will be close. Instead of picking the winner here, we will go with Over 44.5 points. This total is somewhat low for these teams.
