Jaguars vs. 49ers Odds
Game Preview
Jags allow just 17 points per game, and 82.7 rushing yards, both fifth best in the league, though their rivals were pretty weak teams in the opening three rounds – Panthers, Bengals, and Texans. Though the latter one isn’t weak in terms of players, but Houston’s chemistry is awful.
QB Trevor Lawrence struggles badly, having 671 passing yards for 4 touchdowns and interceptions each. His completion rate is 55.8% which isn’t near the expected. Though, Travis Etienne Jr. guides the Jags with 270 rushing yards in the first three rounds.
The 49ers’ injury report is crowded, yet they remain 3-0. The most recent win over the Cardinals, 16-15, was very expensive, because one of the best defenders in the league, LB Nick Bosa, tore his ACL.
Backup QB Mac Jones had 284 passing yards for a touchdown and a pick. Overall, he replaced Brock Purdy very well, but it is expected to see him benched against the Jaguars, with Purdy returning to the starting lineup.
Jaguars vs. 49ers Head to Head
There were only 7 games overall, and the Niners lead 5-2. San Francisco won them subsequently, with the last in 2023, 34-3 in Florida.
Jaguars vs. 49ers Predictions
The Jags had plenty of luck in these few games, and their wins aren’t fully deserved. San Francisco plays at home, and even without Bosa, this team has the offensive resources to outgun the Jags and secure a win.
