Vikings vs. Steelers Odds
Game Preview
Minnesota smashed the Bengals 48-10 last week; however, don’t take this one as a measure of the Vikings’ power. Bengals are beheaded without Burrow, and Kevin O’Connell’s unit used that in the best possible way.
Veteran QB Carson Wentz replaced JJ McCarthy perfectly, throwing for 173 yards and 2 touchdowns. He is expected to start this week again. Running back Jordan Mason ran for 116 yards and 2 touchdowns, while cornerback Isaiah Rodgers had an 87-yard pick-six.
The Steelers beat the Patriots at Gillette, 21-14, though it wasn’t a smooth victory. Aaron Rodgers is still without his rhythm, as the 4-time NFL MVP had just 139 passing yards for 2 touchdowns and an interception.
Pittsburgh’s defense was the game-winner here, having 4 fumbles recovered and saving the team each time the offense failed to deliver. Plus, they sacked Drake Maye FIVE times.
Vikings vs. Steelers Head to Head
The overall score in the series is 10-9 for the Vikes. The last meeting was in 2021, when Minnesota won 36-28.
Vikings vs. Steelers Predictions
Vikings dismantled the Bengals, but we wouldn’t put them as favorites here, particularly because of the Steelers’ defense. Also, they don’t have as sharp a defense as the Pats, meaning that Rodgers could find his groove more easily. That’s why we pick the Steelers to win.
