Eagles vs. Vikings Odds
Game Preview
The Eagles lost on Thursday Night Football, and to be honest, just a few saw that one coming. A 34-17 defeat to the Giants was the second in a row following a failure at home to the Broncos.
Philadelphia averages only 274.5 yards per game, 3rd worst in the league. RB Saquon Barkley, who had 2,000+ rushing yards from scrimmage last year, now has 325 after 6 rounds. This is the main problem for the Super Bowl champions, who have to either wake him up or find other playmakers.
Meanwhile, the Vikes are 3-2 now, but didn’t convince the majority of the NFL community that they are legit playoff contenders. The Vikings lost to the Falcons and the Steelers, but defeated the Bears, Bengals, and the Browns.
JJ McCarthy still didn’t fully recover from an ankle injury, and now his backup, Carson Wentz, has picked up a shoulder injury. The way things stand now, McCarthy is reportedly closer to playing this event.
Minnesota’s secondary is one of the best in the league, and they allow 157.6 passing yards per game. Overall, this team allows 19.4 points per game, which is the 5th-best average in the NFL. If there weren’t for all the problems with QBs, the Vikes would be way better.
Eagles vs. Vikings Head to Head
The result in the series is 16-15 for the Eagles, who have won the past two events against the Vikes.
Eagles vs. Vikings Predictions
The Vikings have problems with quarterbacks, and even though they had time to rest, the team still faces significant disadvantages and flaws compared to the Eagles. Sure, Minnesota’s defense is good, but they haven’t met an attack like the Eagles’, who, even despite struggles, are very dangerous.
