The Steelers are coming off their bye week for this week 7 encounter with the Rams so they’ve had more time to work on the health of their players. Tight-end Pat Freiermuth may have had a setback in his recovery from a hamstring injury however. The 24-year-old was downgraded to a limited participant in Thursday’s practice after getting in a full practice on Wednesday. WR Diontae Johnson could be activated from IR in time to race Los Angeles after logging two full practices this week.
The Rams overcame the Cardinals with ease in week 6, cruising to a 9-26 victory thanks to touchdowns from Cooper Kupp and Kyren Williams. The latter has since been ruled out for multiple weeks with an ankle injury in a huge blow for the in-form young running back. Rookie Zach Evans is the next guy up in the running back room.
Prediction
These teams have talent galore, and this result could rest on who has the healthier roster. I’m a big fan of Zak Evans’ ability and I’m excited to see him take the field as a lead back. On that basis I’m going for a Rams win here.
