Game Preview
The 49ers lost both Deebo Samuel and Christian McCaffrey to injury as they failed to overcome the Cleveland Browns on Sunday. Neither player has managed to practice this week and their status’ will require monitoring ahead of this Monday night fixture. If McCaffrey misses the game then Elijah Mitchell and the highly rated sophomore Jordan Mason will split the backfield reps.
The Vikings made hard work of life without Justin Jefferson, and the next 5 weeks could be just as tough while the star receiver recovers from injury. Alexander Mattison has struggled to fill the Dalvin Cook role and he will not find life easy against the 49ers defense here.
Prediction
The Vikings struggled to overcome the Chicago Bears last week so I cannot see them picking up a win against a far superior 49ers team this week. San Francisco should get things back on track here comfortably.
