Buccaneers vs. Saints Odds
Game Preview
The Buccaneers now have plenty of injuries pulling them down. Bucky Irving should be back for this event, but we don’t know that for sure. With Evans and Godwin out, Mayfield will have to find more targets apart from Emeka Egbuka.
Baker plays excellent football, and even though the Bucs lost to the Lions on the road, 24-9, we have to give Mayfield credit here. He looks superb, having passed for 13 touchdowns and just two picks.
The Saints are 1-6, and Spencer Rattler struggles. His offense scores only 17.9 points, the fourth-worst in the NFL, and he is in a tough spot right now. Unless there’s significant progress in his game, we just might see New Orleans move on from him and prepare for the new quarterback, probably the one from the draft.
Rumors on Alvin Kamara’s trade are still making the media headlines, and that surely affects the unit’s atmosphere. Over the last two games, he had 105 yards from scrimmage combined.
Buccaneers vs. Saints Head to Head
This is an NFC South rivalry, which has seen 67 games so far. The Saints lead 40-27. Last season, the Bucs won both events, 51-27 on the road and 27-19 at home.
Buccaneers vs. Saints Predictions
The Bucs have the upper hand here despite battling injuries. They are simply better than the Saints, and if Mayfield plays his average game, Tampa Bay will triumph easily.
