Game Preview

The Minnesota Vikings lost to the Philadelphia Eagles 28-22 last weekend, in a game where they battled, but constantly fell one step behind the Super Bowl champs. QB Carson Wentz threw for 313 passing yards, though he didn’t have any TD passes, and was picked twice by the Eagles’ secondary.

LB Eric Wilson had 1.5 sacks and was the bright spot in the defense, the same as WR Jordan Addison, who generated 128 receiving yards on 9 receptions.

The Chargers were demolished at home against the Indianapolis Colts, 38-24, who exploited all the weaknesses LAC had. First of all, the Colts completely shut down the Chargers’ run game, allowing them 54 yards on the ground.

If it weren’t for Justin Herbert, who ran for 31 yards, this stat would be even worse. On the other side, Herbert threw for 420 passing yards, having 3 TD passes and two picks, with Oronde Gadsden II with 164 receiving yards and Keenan Allen with 119 being his top targets. Both had a TD each.

Vikings vs. Chargers Head to Head

The Vikings lead the all-time series, 8-7. The last game was in September 2023 when the Chargers won 28-24.

Vikings vs. Chargers Predictions

The Colts are too strong for the Chargers, but the Vikings aren’t. The team from LA has what it takes to beat the shaky Vikes. They have the home-field edge, plus their offense is better than Minnesota’s, even though it’s one-dimensional.
